The PacStar 5500 has received an Interim Certificate to Operate (ICTO) from the Joint Chiefs of Staff, which means that the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) has tested the 5500 and determined that it adheres to the joint interoperability standards of the Department of Defense.
